The diocesan council is the institution responsible for the administration of a suffragan or metropolitan diocese.

It is accessible via:

• the application:
  • Village > Places > Church > Tab "Cathedral"
• the browser:
  • Village > Church > Tab "Cathedral"

The diocesan council consists of 7 members (aka "Canons"):

• the Bishop or Archbishop
  • installed by the Pope or by a Sovereign
• the 6 council members installed by the bishop or archbishop:
  • the Diocesan Chamberlain
  • the Diocesan Chancellor
  • the Diocesan Sergeant
  • the Diocesan Legate
  • the Diocesan Penitentiary
  • the Diocesan Steward

Their terms of office last for a maximum of 120 days.

Holding a position on the diocesan council allows you to obtain:

• Divine Truth Points
• 30 Influence points
• a badge of the ecclesiastical office to display in the character sheet
• a title to display in the character sheet

Note:

• In the event of resignation or termination of the Bishop's/Archbishop's term of office, all members of the diocesan council are dismissed, with the exception of the Diocesan Legate.
