The term province refers to the religious territory headed by an archbishop, who sits in the cathedral of the Metropolitan Diocese.
A province may have one or more dioceses under its authority.
Borders of provinces do not necessarily follow the borders of duchies / counties.
All counties and duchies belonging to the territory of the same Sovereign belong to a primacy.
