A friend is a character (or a player) whose name is on your friend's list:
- add it manually by entering the name
- open a character sheet and click on the option button in the bottom right corner and select the add friend button
Putting a character on the friend's list
- allows you to send letters easier by selecting the name in a drop-down menu
- allows you to see friends that soon will have birthday with a gift button
and to sent a gift to them - allows your friends to see the actual time of your last login in your character sheet instead of only seeing the date
